“WOUND enabled a very simple dressing change that could be performed by the general practitioner 3 times per week in only 5 minutes. Previously, iodine dipped gauzes was used for 40 days due to a suture dehiscence following an abscess excision in abdomen and seems to have hindered wound healing. Interestingly, the antimicrobial effect of WOUND comes without any cytotoxic side- effects and therefore the strong activation of granulation tissue formation triggered by WOUND is not hindered.
