BAPSCARCARE silicone sheet T is a self-adhesive, very thin and transparent silicone dressing. BAPSCARCARE T is a scar dressing for both old and new scars, for the treatment and prevention of abnormal (hypertrophic and keloid) scars.
BAPSCARCARE T is particularly suitable for larger scars, in locations where good adhesion is required (eg joints). Due to its flexibility, the self-adhesive bandage remains in place on all areas of the body to be treated. Also pleasant for use under clothing and in combination with compression (pressure therapy).
BAPSCARCARE T silicone sheet is not reusable and therefore does not need to be cleaned daily, it is that easy.

Indications/Areas of application
BAPSCARCARE T silicone sheets are suitable for:
- Both old and new scars
- All skin types
- All ages
- The treatment and prevention of abnormal scars (hypertrophic and keloid)
- The treatment of burn scars
- The treatment of surgical scars
- Use under clothing and in compression therapy
- The treatment of persistent functional complaints caused by the scar (persistent redness, ‘pulling’ sensations, itching, restriction of joint movement, discomfort and cosmetic concerns).
Instructions
- Before use, cleanse the skin and let it dry
- If necessary, the sheet can be cut to size
- Cover the scar up to approx. 2 cm around healthy skin
- Each sheet can be used for 5-7 days (10 pieces per pack)
How to use
Silicone sheets are pre-eminently a product that can be used independently by the patient at home. The use of BAPSCARCARE T is often advised and supervised by a (general) doctor, nurse or scar professional.
Operating time
For the best possible result, it is preferable to wear BAPSCARCARE T as long as possible per day. In rare cases there may be skin irritation at the beginning. In that case, it is recommended to increase the use of the therapy to 24 hours a day during the first week. An hour longer every day. This build-up serves to gradually get the skin used to the therapy.
For use
- Thoroughly clean and dry the skin on and around the scar.
- If necessary, the silicone bandage can be cut to the correct size. Make sure that the entire scar is covered with the silicone bandage with approximately 2 cm of healthy skin around the scar.
- The pre-removal of any hairs around the scar location improves the adhesive strength of the silicone dressing, which promotes durability.
Applying
- Remove the first part of the protective film from BAPSCARCARE T and gently apply the self-adhesive silicone sheet at the beginning of the scar.
- Remove the second part of the protective film and apply the next part of BAPSCARARE T to the scar.
- Depending on the size of the silicone dressing, the above should be repeated until the entire silicone dressing has been applied.
Maintenance
BAPSCARCARE T is for single use and can be left on the scar for several days. Replace it with a new silicone sheet when the adhesive strength deteriorates.
