BAPSCARCARE S is a thick, highly flexible, self-adhesive and transparent medical grade silicone sheet for the treatment of both old and new scars .
This silicone sheet is particularly suitable for larger scars. Also nice for scars under clothing. BAPSCARCARE S is washable and can therefore be (re)used for a long time.

Indications/Areas of application
BAPSCARCARE S silicone sheets are suitable for:
- Both old and new scars
- All skin types
- All ages
- The treatment and prevention of abnormal scars (hypertrophic and keloid)
- The treatment of burn scars
- The treatment of surgical scars
- Use under clothing and in compression therapy
- The treatment of persistent functional problems caused by the scar (persistent redness, ‘pulling’ sensations, itching, restriction of joint movement, discomfort and cosmetic concerns)
Instructions
- Before use, cleanse the skin and let it dry
- If necessary, the bandage can be cut to size
- Cover the scar up to approx. 2 cm around healthy skin
- Reusable and can be cleaned with neutral soap/lotion
How to use
BAPSCARCARE S silicone sheet is pre-eminently a product that can be used independently by the patient at home. The use of BAPSCARCARE S is often advised and supervised by a (general) doctor, nurse or scar professional.
Operating time
For the best possible result, it is preferable to wear BAPSCARCARE S as long as possible per day. In rare cases there may be skin irritation at the beginning. In that case, it is recommended to increase the use of the therapy to 24 hours a day during the first week. An hour longer every day. This build-up serves to gradually allow the skin to get used to the therapy.
For use
- Thoroughly clean and dry the skin on and around the scar. Remove the product from the packaging.
- If necessary, BAPSCARCARE S can be cut to the correct size. Make sure that the entire scar is covered with the silicone sheet with approximately 2 cm of healthy skin around the scar.
- The pre-removal of any hairs around the scar location improves the adhesive strength of BAPSCARCARE S, which promotes durability.
Applying
- Remove the first part of the protective film from BAPSCARCARE S and gently apply the self-adhesive silicone sheet at the beginning of the scar.
- Remove the second part of the protective film and apply the next part of the silicone sheet to the scar.
- Depending on the size of BAPSCARCARE S, the above should be repeated until the entire silicone dressing has been applied.
- Optionally, BAPSCARCARE S can be fixed with an adhesive or stretch bandage.
Maintenance
- If the adhesive strength of BAPSCARCARE S decreases, the sheet can be cleaned with a neutral soap/lotion.
- After cleaning, rinse the silicone sheet excessively with lukewarm running water.
- In contact with water, the adhesive strength of BAPSCARCARE S decreases temporarily.
- Place the silicone sheet on a smooth surface with the adhesive side up to allow the sheet to dry.
- As the sheet dries, the adhesive strength gradually returns.
- Only use BAPSCARCARE S when it is completely dry
