Towards the mission of “providing the reliable medical and pharmaceutical products”, DTP MEDICAL company is always proactive in marketing and medical activities to bring the best solutions to doctors and patients. The most recent is the product presentation on WOUND, a novel film-forming wound dressing, at the Department of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery/ Ho Chi Minh City University Medical Center.

On 18 May 2023, DTP MEDICAL had successfully organized the presentation on WOUND at the Department of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery with an usefull and intensive discussion.
The product presentation took place in an active and academic atmosphere with the presence of Dr. Nguyen Huu Thinh – Deputy Head of the Department of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, along with other major doctors and nurses.
With four mechanisms including creating a moist wound environment, anti-microbial effect, protection and regeneration, and atraumatic and painless dressing changes, WOUND helps accelerate the wound healing and minimize abnormal scars formation right after plastic and cosmetic surgeries. In particular, WOUND is suitable for all types of wounds, including wet and dry wound, which makes it differentiated from other main competiors of primary wound dressings.

Five fatty acids in the oil film of WOUND provide a strong antimicrobial effect without cytotoxic side effects. Particularly, fatty acids such as oleic acid and linoleic acid cover the bacterial cell membrane, leading to a lysis of the bacterial cell walls and then effective infection prevention. This is also what Dr. Nguyen Huu Thinh highly appreciates about WOUND in the management of wound infection after plastic surgeries.
Doctors indicated that, besides the clinically – proven efficiency and safety, the propertiy of self-care of a wound care product is one of prerequisites for product choice in which patients and their relatives can involve in wounds care at home. And WOUND is a product that meets the criteria of “EFFICIENCY – SAFETY – CONVENIENCE” and provides an “all-in-one” solution that simplifies the wound care process.

The presentation ended with the professional discussion about WOUND, and more importantly, promising to bring the cost-effective solution to the patients. This has openned up the favourabal opportunities for cooperation between DTP MEDICAL and Department of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, Ho Chi Minh City University Medical Center on the purpose of providing effective wound care solutions as well as preventing scarring right after surgeries.
