On December 22, 2022, DTP MEDICAL had a presentation of WOUND – An innovative technology to help heal wounds faster and reduce scars right after surgery to surgeons working at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery – Hospital for Traumatology and Orthopedics, Ho Chi Minh city.
In addition to giving doctors a comprehensive view of the ingredients, usages and indications for treatment, the presentation was also an opportunity to discuss the effectiveness and safety of WOUND in promoting wound healing after surgery as well as an effective wound infection control.

The presentation has highlighted clinical studies demonstrating the importance of WOUND in granulation induction, achieving rapid epithelialization in the skin and minimizing postoperative abnormal scarring. These are also the main benefits of WOUND compared to other competitor products in the wound care market in terms of supporting the treatment of open wounds and managing scars from the early stage after surgery and trauma in general.
Surgeons at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery have been impressed by WOUND because of its ease of use and self-care. With WOUND, patients and their family members can also participate in wound care without the assistance of professional nurses.

At the Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery Department of Hospital for Traumatology and Orthopedics, after the surgeries of limb replantation, skin flaps, ligament reconstruction,… needs of patients and surgeons for a cost-effective wound spray product that also meets many requirements such as strong antibacterial effect, periwound management, maceration prevention and barrier function get higher and higher. Today, however, there are very few products that meet all, or even some, of these requirements.
Therefore, this presentation has partly opened up the opportunity for patients and surgeons to know and to approach WOUND – an innovative wound spray from Switzerland, providing an “all-in-one” solution which simplifies the wound care procedure.

The presentation was successful with the participation of nearly 20 surgeons and nurses working in the Plastic and reconstructive Microsurgery Department and the questions in relation to WOUND were raised to discuss intensively. This is also a turning point that opens up more cooperation opportunities between DTP MEDICAL and the Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery Department, Hospital for Traumatology and Orthopedics, Ho Chi Minh city to bring effective wound care solutions to patients right after surgery.
