DTP MEDICAL X BAP MEDICAL | Product Presentation on Evidence-Based Post-Procedure Wound Care and Scar Management at SIAM Thailand Aesthetic Hospital

On July 1, 2026, DTP MEDICAL, in collaboration with BAP MEDICAL (The Netherlands), successfully conducted a product presentation at SIAM Thailand Aesthetic Hospital under the theme: “The Application of DerMel Skin Ointment, ALHYDRAN, and CINOSCAR in the Management of Early Scarring, Itching, Redness, and Dryness Following Aesthetic Surgery and Dermatological Procedures”.

The event was attended by Dr. Bui Xuan Huan, Medical Director of SIAM Thailand Aesthetic Hospital, together with the hospital’s physicians and nursing team.

Opening the presentation, Dr. Bui Xuan Huan emphasized the hospital’s commitment to delivering safe, optimal aesthetic outcomes while minimizing the risk of abnormal scar formation following aesthetic surgery and invasive dermatological procedures. Establishing an evidence-based wound care and scar management protocol from the earliest stage of healing was highlighted as a key strategy for optimizing treatment outcomes and patient satisfaction.

From this approach, Dr. Samson Soon, Product Specialist at BAP MEDICAL, presented evidence-based post-procedure solutions and introduced a wound care and scar management strategy aligned with the physiological healing process, from the unepithelialized phase through complete wound closure:

⏵ As the first step in post-procedure wound care, DerMel Skin Ointment, featuring a triple-effects of Accelerated Wound Healing, Anti-inflammatory, and Antibacterial, is indicated for use immediately following wound suturing or invasive dermatological procedures. It helps establish an optimal moist wound healing environment, supports physiological tissue repair, and contributes to the prevention of abnormal scar formation from the earliest stage of healing.

⏵ Once complete re-epithelialization has been achieved or sutures have been removed, ALHYDRAN serves as the next step in post-procedure care. Powered by MMRC Technology, ALHYDRAN helps restore skin barrier function, maintain optimal skin hydration, and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL). As a result, it helps alleviate common symptoms such as dryness, skin tightness, itching, and redness, while supporting the management of hypertrophic scars and keloids.

⏵ Further supporting long-term scar management following suture removal, CINOSCAR provides a comprehensive 100% medical-grade silicone portfolio for the prevention and management of abnormal scars. Available in both gel and silicone sheet formulations, CINOSCAR offers clinicians greater flexibility in selecting the most appropriate treatment according to scar location and clinical indication. The gel features an innovative self-sealing airless pump that helps preserve product stability for up to 12 months after opening while enabling easy dispensing and precise control of the amount applied. Complementing the gel, the silicone sheet portfolio includes transparent and UV-protective options, allowing individualized scar management across different anatomical sites and treatment needs.

The presentation concluded with an engaging scientific discussion. The exchange focused on appropriate product selection throughout different stages of wound healing – from the unepithelialized phase to complete re-epithelialization – as well as practical applications in aesthetic medicine. These discussions provided valuable clinical insights, further bridging scientific evidence with everyday clinical practice.

DTP MEDICAL sincerely thanks the medical team at SIAM Thailand Aesthetic Hospital for their time and valuable scientific exchange. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in sharing evidence-based wound care and scar management solutions, while supporting better treatment outcomes following aesthetic procedures.
